Buddle earns second MLS Player of the Week award

05/03/2010 - New York, NY (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Los Angeles Galaxy forward Edson Buddle was voted Major League Soccer's Player of the Week for Week 6 of the 2010 season, it was announced on Monday.

Buddle scored two goals and set up another in the Galaxy's 3-1 win over the Philadelphia Union at The Home Depot Center on Saturday night. The award is Buddle's second in six weeks this season.

Buddle now has scored nine of the 10 total goals the Galaxy have scored this season, while earning the primary assist on the one he didn't score. The player of the week award is the ninth of his MLS career.

"Who would expect anyone to have nine goals in six games? We know he's a very capable player," Galaxy coach Bruce Arena said. "He can certainly score goals. The combination of him and Landon [Donovan] has been excellent."

Saturday was Buddle's fourth multi-goal game of the season. He was also voted the player of the month for April.

"It's a good feeling and it never gets old so I'm going to enjoy every part of it," Buddle said of his hot start to the 2010 season. "I've never started this way and it's a new experience. But I love new experiences."

The Major League Soccer Player of the Week is selected each week of the regular season by a panel of journalists from The North American Soccer Reporters (soccerreporters.com). The group consists of members of online, print, television, and radio media.

Dallas went 9-7 SU and 7-9 ATS last season and with the amount of talent the Cowboys have, a similar performance won't do.

The Cowboys have been atrocious against divisional rivals, going 6-14 ATS in their last 20.

The Washington Redskins are longshots to win the division at +550.
